Four Principles of Office Lighting Design

Office is a place where staff members engage in close distance visual operations for a long time, which requires a bright lighting environment provided by the company as employees spend a considerable amount of time working in this space. Therefore, the lighting environment in office decoration should have high illumination requirements.

Higher brightness can bring people a sense of openness and happiness, which helps to improve work efficiency and creates more benefits for the enterprise. Next, we will discuss the four design principles of office LED light for lighting design.

Reasonably use natural light in the office LED light design

The introduction of natural light sources is directly related to the window area in the office. The difference in the size and mode of window and light incidence can have a great impact on the room both psychologically and visually.

Generally speaking, the larger the window opening, the greater the diffusion of natural light reading lamps. However, the strong light of natural light sometimes causes a stimulating feeling to the office, which is not conducive to the psychological state of work. Therefore, in modern office decoration design, it is necessary to have open windows to meet people's psychological needs for natural light, while also paying attention to the design of soft curtains that can modify the light and transform it into a comfortable light source.

The office LED light design also requires uniformity of illumination

However, it is not the case that the more uniform, the better. Appropriate illumination changes can alleviate the atmosphere of the entire office decoration design.

For general lighting, the ratio of the minimum illuminance to the average illuminance value should not be less than 0.7, while the ratio of the illuminance adjacent to the surrounding working surface should not be less than 0.5.

For the situation where there is both general lighting and local lighting, the average illuminance of the non-working area should not be lower than half of that of the working area, and should not be less than 200lux.

For two adjacent areas, the ratio of average illuminance should not exceed 5:1, and the illuminance of the lower area should be at least 150lux. Otherwise, there will be a strong contrast change in the office, which will cause visual fatigue for people working in this lighting environment.

The indoor interface of office LED light design

When designing home office LED light, it is necessary to fully consider the wall color, material, and spatial orientation of the office space to determine the illumination and light color of the lighting. The design of light is closely related to the decoration of the three major interfaces of the room. If the decoration materials of the wall and ceiling are absorbent, the illumination design of light should be appropriately adjusted and improved. If the interior interface decoration is made of reflective materials, the illumination should be appropriately adjusted and reduced so as to create a comfortable lighting environment.

The office LED light design should meet the spatial requirements

The decorative lighting of office LED light is set to liven up the space atmosphere, but its role must always be in line with the overall lighting, subject to the functional and economic requirements of office decoration space.
